In December, we collect for Humanity & Inclusion

The fundraising through our green program in favor of Humanity & Inclusion actions

December is upon us! It is both a month of the holiday season with preparations for Christmas, but also a month of generosity and sharing with the most vulnerable people.

A long-time volunteer with Humanity & Inclusion, I naturally wanted the collection of our green program set up since June, to be done in favor of this organization.
The choice of the month of December is not trivial either because December 3 is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
.

How to participate in the collection for Humanity & Inclusion?

we collect in favor of Humanity & Inclusion

Disabled Fund/Nirmala and Khembro earthquake victims lost their legs. They received a prosthesis one month ago and learn how to walk at the National Disabled Fund.

We invite all hotel guests staying in December to opt out of housekeeping service. For each refusal of service, the hotel contributes to the collection up to $5/day of refusal. For our guests, no additional cost, and they contribute both to the collection but also to an environmental action. Of course we refresh the towels as needed!

I support the actions of Humanity & Inclusion because it is an organization that works on the ground (whether in times of war, natural disasters or other context of global crisis) and which provides concrete solutions to vulnerable people whose lives is transformed in the depths of their body overnight. These adults, or these children who lose the use of their arm, their leg, need our help and our financial support. Humanity & Inclusion through its many action and intervention components, allows them to better live with their disability, for example by allowing them to benefit from prostheses, ramps to go to school or infrastructure for promote their mobility and their integration into society. Our donation also makes it possible to finance equipment to disarm anti-personnel mines that are still too numerous in the world…

Humanity & Inclusion’s Mission

Say Not LAT 6 years old victim of a car accident in 2014. Here she is having a rehabilitation session with Ratha Mom at Kampong Cham rehabilitation center.

Humanity & Inclusion is an organization that is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

Humanity & Inclusion is an independent charity working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. We work tirelessly alongside disabled and vulnerable people to help meet their basic needs, improve their living conditions and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights.

“Our determination to help the most vulnerable groups, including in extreme situations, has proven its worth. We have earned the legitimacy we need to combat certain now illegal weapons – landmines and cluster munitions. This same determination drives our teams today and motivates their tireless efforts in nearly 60 countries.”

Jean-Baptiste Richardier, cofondateur de Handicap International (Humanity & Inclusion)
