Join locals as they attend Montreal’s St. Patrick’s day parade on Sunday March 19th. Head over to St Catherine street for noon, from Fort street to Metcalfe street to enjoy music, dancing and floats. Organisers have shared that this will be a full-scale parade, as it was in its pre-pandemic glory.

Tis’ the season for maple syrup

You might’ve heard of Quebec’s famous sugar shacks or cabanes à sucre. If you haven’t, this is where maple sap is collected to be turned into the wonderful maple products you know and love. During the sugaring-off season, usually 4-6 weeks in March and April, Quebecers visit sugar shacks to enjoy maple syrup and a traditional quebecois dinner.

Le Saint-Sulpice Hotel Montreal will be joining in the festivities by offering maple tastings on snow every Saturday from March 11th to April 1st from 3pm to 5pm in the lobby. This SoSulpice! experience is one of many that allows our guests to discover local flavours, traditions, artists and artisans.

In Canada, attending a hockey game is quite the experience! Hockey is our national sport and we take it seriously. A Montreal Canadiens game is a must-see for any sports or hockey fanatic. Contact our concierge to get a ticket for a game at the Bell Centre or recommendations on local bars to watch with dedicated fans! Our hotel in Old Montreal is conveniently located 11 minutes away from the Bell Centre by car.

Downtown, at walking distance from the hotel, enjoy the best conditions for ice skating, at the Esplanade Tranquille skating ring. Located in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles,

the refrigerated rink is free for all skaters. The rink is carefully maintained: a Zamboni, decorated in Quartier des Spectacles colours, resurfaces the ice every 90 minutes.

A counter operated by Patin Patin, located in the Repaire inside the pavilion, provides skate, helmet and padlock rentals as well as a skate sharpening service.

Attend The International Festival of Films on Art (Le FIFA)

At Le Saint-Sulpice Hotel Montreal, we have a great appreciation for art. This is made apparent by the local artworks lining our corridors and showcased in our luxury rooms. It is only natural that we are excited for Le FIFA, a festival dedicated to the promotion and distribution of films on art and media arts for over four decades. Take advantage of this 41st edition of the festival to immerse yourself in art from all over the world. The festival runs from March 14th to 26th 2023 in select theatres in Montreal and Quebec City, as well as from March 24th to April 2nd 2023 online.
