Valentine’s Day for all in Old Montreal

Why do we celebrate Valentine’s Day?

We often think that Valentine’s Day is only dedicated to couples and if we don’t have a significant other, we cannot celebrate it. Some people even prefer to boycott this Holiday.

At Le Saint-Sulpice Hôtel Montréal, we believe that Valentine’s Day can be celebrated in many different ways.

Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day with the family

Valentine’s Day is the celebration of love. So, why not spend the day with the family and, for example, go skating on the Natrel Skating rink; only a few minutes away from the hotel, walk around the streets of Old Montreal

and maybe go visit the Nordik Village organized by Igloofest on Place Jacques-Cartier. At Le Saint-Sulpice Hôtel Montréal, we welcome families, big and small, every week. Some come from different areas of Quebec, others from the rest of Canada, the Unites Stated and even Europe. No matter where they come from, they all come to the hotel to spend some quality time with their family. Valentine’s Day is a special day where family activities are often overseen. Therefore, why not make it happen this year ?

 Valentine’s Day with friends

Me, being a single woman, I do not plan on spending Valentine’s Day with candles and a romantic dinner. Instead, I will enjoy this day by spending it with my best girlfriends. With the nice weather that we had this past January, we would walk around the neighborhood and go out for dinner at Dolcetto & Co.: my favorite place where to find the best italian pizza. A trendy, affordable and friendly ambiance offering one of my favorite pizzas, the Bianca: wild mushrooms, Tartufo, goat cheese and arugula. Simple and delicious. If you’re a chocolate lover, you will be excited to know that they offer a Nutella-Smores pizza for dessert.

Later, let’s all put on our prettiest dresses and go have a drink at Flyjin, a very reputable club in Old Montreal where the clientele is classy and the music is banging.

A weekend getaway in Montreal with your friends, what better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day? If you’re from Montreal or from elsewhere, Old Montreal has plenty of activities to offer.
